Group Three – Michael, Hailey, Tatiyana, and Anthony
The
topic in which we agreed upon as a group is to create a brochure about Buffalo,
NY. This brochure will entail details about the local sports franchises, the
best places to eat food, and the best-known places for entertainment and
leisure.
We will
graphically communicate each of our topics through pictures of each topic on
its chosen page. We will choose several fonts that we all agree on as a group.
The fonts chosen for the main headers and title of the brochure will match each
other on every page. The subheader fonts will match each other on every page
along with the text font to create cohesion. The incorporation of stylish fonts
and graphics that grab the reader’s attention is what will help make this
successful. Each section will explain different aspects of Buffalo will have
its own twist to it. Although the concept of the brochure is to explain the
positives of Buffalo in cohesion there must be something that grabs the eye and
keeps readers interested. This brochure is being created to effectively
communicate the positive aspects of Buffalo and to persuade people to want to
come to visit. This is also being used to encourage and introduce people who are
already here visiting or that live here to places they may have never been to
before. In order to make this a successful brochure we must collectively work
together and stick to the plan while each group member executes their role.
The idea of this brochure is meant to be fun and creative we will make the city of
Buffalo look bright and exciting. With our knowledge of using the creative
cloud this semester, we can collectively come together and make this project
prosper. Displaying Buffalo in a positive light is something we all would like
to accomplish, and we are determined to do.
This topic is really close to the example I showed everyone in the video lecture about the video project - the one with “Become a Buffalonian” since this group did three brochures on nightlife, food scene, and sports. You may do this topic, but please make sure to have your own ideas about this, and not use the example the previous students did. Perhaps this group may create a series of four brochures on Buffalo, NY - but seen through the eyes of college students. Perhaps your series may be a guide for college students only. What do you think?
